Since 2014, Angela Reis has been a key figure in the Las Vegas wellness and birth community. As a doula, movement educator, and trainer, she has spent over a decade supporting families on their journey through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum recovery. Angela is also a mother, and it’s from this lived experience that her work draws depth, compassion, and practical insight.
Angela is the founder of Prenatal Yoga Las Vegas (PYLV), a mobile movement studio designed to empower families through prenatal and postnatal yoga, education, and community-building. Launched to meet a clear need in the Las Vegas area, PYLV has grown into a unique wellness offering for families throughout the valley. In 2021, Angela took this work a step further by launching the first and only Yoga Alliance Prenatal Yoga Teacher Training in Las Vegas—demonstrating a deep commitment to elevating the standards of prenatal education and support in the region.
A Mobile Studio with a Mission
PYLV is built on the belief that movement, education, and connection are essential during the transition to parenthood. Angela created the studio to offer more than just yoga classes. In her words, “Pregnancy is such a special time, and while many seek wellness, there aren’t enough teachers properly trained to support this population.”
“At Prenatal Yoga Las Vegas (PYLV), what sets us apart is our commitment to the highest standards of training. Our teachers are highly trained to support the unique needs of pregnant and postpartum individuals, ensuring that each class is safe, supportive, and empowering.
Unlike a traditional yoga or movement studio, we partner with local businesses and hospitals to offer classes across the entire valley, making it easier for families to access the resources they need, no matter where they are.”
In addition to prenatal and postnatal yoga and Pilates, PYLV offers family movement classes like Baby & Me Yoga, Tot & Me Yoga, and Mat & Me Pilates. There are also workshops including the Pelvic Wellness Series and Birth Basics, as well as community groups like Coffee & Conversation, Park ‘n Play, and Pregnancy Circle. PYLV also provides professional training and mentoring, and private 1:1 sessions.
Why Community Matters
Angela’s own postpartum experience was a driving force in the development of PYLV. She describes that time as overwhelming, with a steep learning curve and an overload of information. What made the difference for her was the community she found along the way.
“We are family-first. Many of our teachers bring their little ones along, creating an atmosphere where family and community are at the heart of everything we do. It’s not just about movement—it's about creating a space where families can thrive, and where children can grow alongside their parents on their wellness journey.
At PYLV, we are truly a community. People join our classes and often leave with lifelong friendships. It's a place to connect, grow, and feel supported throughout one of the most transformative experiences of life.”
“Having a network of understanding and support was invaluable,” Angela shares. “It made all the difference in feeling confident and connected as I navigated this new chapter of my life.”
The Benefits of Prenatal Yoga
Angela emphasizes that prenatal yoga is a highly effective way to support a healthy pregnancy. She refers to the phrase “motion is lotion,” highlighting the power of movement as a low-risk, high-benefit intervention during pregnancy.
“Many parents-to-be might not realize just how beneficial prenatal yoga can be for a healthy pregnancy and birth experience. The saying "motion is lotion" truly captures it—movement is one of the best interventions you can do during pregnancy, with minimal negative side effects.
Yoga, in particular, combines movement with breath practices, making it excellent preparation for whatever birth experience you have in mind. The physical movement helps to improve strength, flexibility, and circulation, which can alleviate common pregnancy discomforts, like back pain and swelling, while also supporting optimal positioning of the baby.
Breathwork is just as important, teaching deep, mindful breathing that helps you stay calm, focused, and centered during labor. This mental clarity and body awareness are invaluable, whether you're planning a natural birth or exploring other birthing options.
Beyond the birth itself, yoga also provides great tools for parenthood—teaching you how to remain grounded, patient, and in tune with your body and your baby as you begin this incredible journey of parenthood.”
In addition to building strength, flexibility, and circulation, yoga also offers tools like breathwork, which helps parents stay grounded and focused during labor. These skills are just as useful during the early months of parenting, supporting calmness and connection in a time that can feel overwhelming.

Real Moms, Real Bodies, Real Results
Angela shared a story about Felcia, a private client who practiced regularly and took the Birth Basics Workshop.
“One of the most memorable success stories for me was working with Felcia, a student I had the privilege of working with 1:1. From early on in her pregnancy, she was incredibly consistent with her practice, attending our classes and even taking our Birth Basics Workshop.
Through her regular practice and the knowledge I equipped her with, Felcia was able to approach her birth with confidence and calmness. She felt empowered by the tools we covered—both the movement and breathwork—and was able to achieve the birth experience she truly wanted”
Client Testimonial:
“I worked with Angela as a private student. She is wonderfully knowledgeable and kind! During our sessions together she made sure to tailor each lesson to my needs that week. I have used what she taught me throughout my pregnancy, during my labor, and post-partum. I truly believe these skills kept me relaxed and reduced the pain of my contractions. My husband and I also took her labor and delivery class. Because of that class he knew what to expect in the delivery room and was prepared to help me mitigate my pain and stay calm.”

A Welcoming First Step
For those new to yoga or feeling unsure, Angela encourages parents to start where they are. “Yoga is a non-competitive practice, and it’s all about honoring your body and where you are in your journey,” she says.
“One thing people might not realize about our work is how much goes into planning each yoga and movement class. It’s not just about showing up and teaching—there’s a lot of behind-the-scenes thought and care. Our classes are intentionally small and curated specifically for our students. For example, if many students are approaching their due dates, I’ll design a class focused on birth preparation. Similarly, for our Baby & Me classes, I may incorporate activities tailored to crawling babies. Each session is thoughtfully crafted to meet the needs of those in the room, ensuring a personalized and supportive experience.”
