Inside DNAesthetics: Las Vegas’ Go-To Spot for Natural Custom Facials
AJ Says:
“My mission is to help people feel their best at any age. To help them feel comfortable in their skin and be able to leave the house with no makeup and still feel beautiful. Nothing beats natural beauty in my opinion.”
Meet AJ of DNAesthetics
How could anyone not love her? AJ, the owner and licensed esthetician behind DNAesthetics, brings warmth, calm, and authenticity to everything she does. From her serene studio in Las Vegas, she helps clients of all ages and genders feel confident and beautiful in their own skin — no filters required.
AJ grew up in Southern California and moved to Las Vegas with her husband and daughter in October 2020.
“As a teenager I loved fashion magazines and was obsessed with makeup and skincare,” she said. “My walls were covered with pictures from the magazines. And of course, I loved the local drugstore to buy skincare and makeup.”
The passion for self-care ran in the family — AJ is the third of four kids, and both her older siblings took skincare seriously. “They were a big influence on me,” she said. “I followed their every move.”
Before becoming an esthetician, AJ spent over a decade in the design world. “I went to school for Graphic Design and worked at several design firms for 10 years,” she shared. “In 2001, I met my husband at one of the firms and we decided to go on our own and start our own graphic design studio.”
That business, SilverFrog, has been thriving for more than 23 years.
A Career Reinvented
After her daughter grew older and more independent, AJ decided it was time to pursue her long-standing interest in skincare. “I went to school at night, and I was probably one of the few older ladies there. Most girls were straight out of high school,” she said. “But we all had so much fun and I’m still good friends with some of the gals.”
When she and her family moved to Las Vegas, AJ explored working at resort spas but quickly realized the sales-driven model didn’t fit her vision. “I wanted to be an esthetician and make people feel and look good, not a salesperson.”
With the support of her husband, she opened DNAesthetics, determined to create her own atmosphere and clientele from scratch. “I didn’t know anyone in Vegas,” she said. “So I decided that networking would be great. I donated services to fundraisers like LV Breast Cancer Warriors, Ronald McDonald House, and Miracle Flights. It took about two years to make connections and start building a clientele — and I am so grateful for that.”

The Mission Behind DNAesthetics
“My mission is to help people feel their best at any age,” AJ said. “To help them feel comfortable in their skin and be able to leave the house with no makeup and still feel beautiful. Nothing beats natural beauty in my opinion.”
Her studio is designed to be a retreat. “I want it to be a place where they escape for an hour,” she said. “I play calming music, have low light, soothing aromas — and honestly, many of my clients fall asleep. I’ve even had teen boys fall asleep because they’re so relaxed.”
Facials for Every Season of Life
Bridal Series:
At DNAesthetics, AJ continues to expand her menu with treatments designed for real women’s evolving skin journeys — from walking down the aisle to embracing the next chapter of womanhood.
For brides-to-be, AJ offers a fully customizable Bridal Facial Series that goes far beyond the typical pre-wedding glow-up. Clients can choose a 3-month, 6-month, or even year-long plan, depending on how much time they have before the big day. Each series is tailored to their goals — whether it’s achieving healthy, radiant skin for the wedding or targeting specific concerns like acne, scarring, or texture.
AJ combines advanced treatments such as Jet Plasma, BioMicroneedling, Red Carpet Facials, and Hydrafacials to deliver transformative results over time. She even suggests a back facial for brides who want that same luminous glow from head to toe — perfect for strapless or open-back gowns. And of course, she adds, “the grooms can come in too!”
Perimenopause/Menopause Facials
Beyond bridal care, AJ has also developed facial services that honor women in perimenopause and menopause, a time when the skin’s needs shift dramatically. “During this stage, skin can start to thin, sun spots become more visible, and there’s a loss of collagen and elasticity,” she explains. To address these changes, AJ created two signature facials: the UpLift Firming Facial, which uses Bioelements products to tighten and nourish, and the Natural Botox Facial, featuring InCellDerm products for a firming and rejuvenating effect — all without injectables.
Both facial series reflect AJ’s mission to meet her clients where they are in life, offering solutions that feel personal, restorative, and rooted in care.

What Makes DNAesthetics Different - a Natural Approach
In a city full of spas and skincare studios, AJ’s approach stands out for its honesty and care. “I can make any age and gender feel relaxed during their treatment,” she said. “I walk through the steps with new clients, answer any skin questions they have, and suggest at-home care.”
She emphasizes education and realistic results. “I offer non-invasive services for people who want to get their skin healthy over time and who do not want a quick fix. It takes time to get your skin healthy and my approach is very natural.”
DNAesthetics also offers affordable facial memberships in three tiers — once a month, every two months, or every three months. “There’s never any pressure,” she said. “I want my clients to want to come see me, not feel they have to.”
Personalized Treatments and Results
AJ’s facials and technologies are always customized to each client’s goals. “I usually want them to get a few basic facials with Microdermabrasion first to see how their skin reacts, and then we go from there.”
Her treatment recommendations are thoughtful:
High Frequency and LED Light Therapy for acne-prone skin
Jet Plasma for wrinkles and fine lines
BioMicroneedling for scarring and texture
HydraFacial for exfoliation, hydration, and plumpness
One of her most memorable client stories involves a woman with severe cystic acne. “She came monthly for two years,” AJ said. “After a year, her face cleared up, and she started focusing on scarring with BioMicroneedling. She trusted me, she trusted the process — and now she looks stunning and wears minimal makeup.”

Skincare in the Las Vegas Desert
Las Vegas skin concerns are unique. “Dryness is obviously a big concern living in the desert,” AJ shared. “Hydrafacials are great for that, but if we do a regular facial, I use all hydrating products. Sun damage is big too. SPF on your face and hands is so important year-round.”
Every facial at DNAesthetics is customized. “If a client feels their sun spots are more prevalent, we’ll do microdermabrasion and brightening products for that session.”
“ Wash your face. Twice a day. Oil-based cleansers keep your pores clean and your skin hydrated.”
Holiday Gift Ideas
AJ loves the idea of self-care gifts. “Facial packages and memberships are great gifts for loved ones who want to start the new year with resolutions to take care of themselves more,” she said. “Teens, men, and women will all enjoy regular self-care.”
For first-timers, she recommends the DNA Facial. “It includes cleansing, exfoliating, extractions if needed, a relaxing massage, mask, and moisturizer — and hopefully they’re hooked!”
To make a spa gift extra special, she suggests a beautiful presentation: “A headband, hand cream, and lip balm packaged beautifully.”
AJ’s Own Routine
“I always cleanse, use serum, moisturizer, SPF, eye cream, and lip balm,” she said. “I never forget my neck and hands, which definitely show first signs of aging. I wear minimal makeup — more so because I’m lazy in that department, haha — so I really stay on top of my skin routine.”
Her number one tip? “Wash your face. At least twice a day and with an oil-based cleanser. No matter your skin type, an oil-based cleanser cleans your pores and keeps your skin hydrated.”
A Heart for Her Clients
“I think I’m a very nurturing and self-aware person… my clients feel that,” AJ said. “You never know what’s going on in people’s lives and what they might be needing or not needing at that moment. And generally, I love talking to each and every one of my clients.” AJ says she always keeps a positive attitude.
That compassion, combined with her years of dedication and artistry, makes DNAesthetics not just a skincare studio — but a space of calm, care, and connection right here in Las Vegas.
