A Morning at Maeve & Rayne Play Lounge

The owners of Maeve and Rayne Play Lounge. Intentional seating for parents, creative play for kids.

Cozy, clean, new and aesthetically pleasing for both kids and parents. Stepping inside Maeve & Rayne is discovering a welcoming corner of Las Vegas made just for families. The space is bright and intentionally designed, a play structure surrounded by thoughtfully chosen toys and social-play items, combined with a lounge area for grownups who want a breather while their kids explore.

Kids roam freely through the indoor play lounge. Parents sip coffee, maybe catch up on emails, play a board game, or just relax while littles entertain themselves. You’re even welcome to bring your own breakfast or lunch and snacks to enjoy in the lounge. This new Family-friendly spot is located at 929 S. Rainbow Blvd., Las Vegas, NV 89145. This is about 15-20 minutes away from the Las Vegas strip.

The Story Behind the Space

The owners, Lynne & Mikki, recognized a need: many existing play-spaces felt either overly chaotic or too generic. They wanted a place where children could play safely and creatively, and where parents or caregivers could actually have a calm moment while still being nearby.

The name Maeve & Rayne comes directly from the owners’ daughters, Selena Maeve and Sofia Rayne. Choosing their children’s names for the space was intentional. It reflects that the play lounge was built not as an abstract concept, but as a place shaped by the needs, routines, and experiences of their own children. From the beginning, Maeve & Rayne was meant to feel personal, grounded, and centered on family.

The idea for Maeve & Rayne didn’t come from a business plan, it came from real life. The founder, a mom juggling diapers, school runs, and everyday chaos, found herself frustrated with traditional play spaces. They were either noisy and chaotic or too bare and uninspiring. She kept asking: “Why can’t there be a place where kids can play and parents can relax, feel welcome, and maybe even get a little peace?”

So Maeve & Rayne was born, not just as a play place, but as a vision of community, comfort, and connection. She dreamed of a place where families could belong, where children learn through play, and parents get a calm, safe space.

Building a Dream with Family

The journey to opening wasn’t glamorous. Getting permits, demolition, painting walls, hanging wallpaper, choosing flooring… the works. Some nights, the team worked until the kids’ bedtime passed, then went home to dinner, pajamas, and collapsed in bed. Then woke up the next morning and did it again.

In that mess, among paint splatters, dust and late-night hustle, came something beautiful. The space that emerged reflects the family behind it. The founder’s children were part of it all… hauling, painting, learning that hard work can build something meaningful.

How the Space Is Used: Open Play, Events, and Private Parties

Maeve & Rayne isn’t just an open-play venue. It’s built to serve multiple needs:

  • Open Play Sessions: Drop-in use allows kids to play while parents relax. There are age-based pricing tiers: for example: “Waddlers & Crawlers” (babies learning to crawl/walk), “Littles” (ages 2–4), and “Big Kids” (ages 5–12).

  • Memberships: For families who visit frequently, they offer membership plans with recurring monthly fees. The “Founding Member” option, for a limited time is priced at $59/month and includes unlimited admission to open play, plus discounts on café purchases, events, and private events.

  • Parties and Events: The lounge is available for private events and birthday parties. Packages include semi-private and private options. For example: a two-hour Semi-Private Event during open play runs about $400, covering a private room for up to 10 children (with additional fee per extra child).  A full private party, during “after-hours” is listed at $550 for two hours. There are also DIY-style private events available (weekend bookings, longer duration), and add-on services like catering, decorations, entertainment, or catering packages.

The flexibility of the space, from casual drop-ins to big celebrations makes it useful for a broad range of family needs: everyday play, social gatherings, milestone birthdays, or community events.

Why Las Vegas & Why It Matters

When the time came to choose a home for Maeve & Rayne, Las Vegas wasn’t just convenient, it was essential. The founder and her daughters live here. They know the city: its rhythms, families, and community. Watching their kids grow up here made them realize Las Vegas lacked a space that felt intentional, safe, and welcoming, beyond the usual noisy, overcrowded playrooms.

With Vegas growing and more families moving in, they saw a real opportunity. They wanted a place where kids could play freely, parents could relax or connect, and families could feel rooted, not just visitors passing through.

What Maeve & Rayne Offers Families

Maeve & Rayne is the place to play because it balances children’s need for freedom with parents’ need for calm and community. It doesn’t rely on overstimulation. Instead, it offers:
